I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alabama and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I received my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of West Alabama. I have professional experience providing therapeutic services to adult women and men. I have a particular interest in sexual health, relationship, and intimacy issues, helping individuals and couples navigate these complex areas with sensitivity and expertise. This can include physical pain, sexual dysfunction, low libido, performace anxiety, mismatched sexual desires, healing from sexual trauma, sex addiction, relationship compulsivity, and sexual identity issues.

Talking about sexuality can feel challenging for many of us. I take a sex-positive approach to intimacy, encouraging open and healthy discussions about sexual experiences and desires. I utilize an integrative, holistic, and mindfulness based approach, as it is important to have a clear understanding about what is currently important to the client in the present while gently exploring the past. I also assess for tangential topics, such as boundary maintenance, practicing a compassionate relationship with one’s self and partner, healthy and effective communication, and developing mindful practices to inform decisions.  

I am deeply committed to fostering a safe and inclusive therapeutic environment. I recognize the unique challenges faced by individuals from diverse, racial, and cultural backgrounds and strive to address these issues with empathy and understanding. Some common challenges can include stigma and cultural barriers, racial discrimination and trauma, family and community expectations, cultural mistrust of mental health services, and cultural differences in the expression and understanding of mental health symptoms.

I currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna/Evernorth, Optum, United Healthcare, United Behavioral Health, and Aetna insurance. All relationship sessions/pre-marital/marital are a self-pay only service.

Fees 

$135/53-60 minute individual session

$175/53-60 minute premarital/marital/relationship/sex therapy session

$175+/53-60 minute family services of two or more individuals

**sex therapy sessions do not involve sexual activity or physical contact between the therapist and the client**
